Kirjeldus: 

ERC is looking for interns to assist with project research and development, especially in scaling up environmental programming (e.g., Armenia and regional work), but other sectors also welcome.

Interns' study field:

  1. International Humanitarian Action
  2. Migration or Development Studies
  3. Environmental Management or Sustainability studies
  4. Economics or Public Policy

Locations: Remote for Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine or Syria.

Length of internship is 2-6 months. Start time flexible.

Ülesanded: 
  • Conduct desk research for new project proposals.
  • Support proposal writing and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental, cash assistance, livelihoods or protection project trends and partnerships.
  • Support cross-country coordination (e.g., Armenia, Ukraine).
Kandidaadilt eeldame: 
  • Master’s students
  • Good knowledge of research methods, sustainability, or social sciences.
  • Motivation to understand how ideas become projects in humanitarian and development settings.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working independently across time zones (remote coordination).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Very good understanding of context in the application country.
Mida me pakume: 

Expected learning outcomes

  1. Understanding of project development processes in humanitarian or environmental programming.

Interns will learn how project ideas evolve from needs assessments to full-fledged proposals, including stakeholder mapping, logical framework development, and budgeting principles for donor submissions.

  1. Experience in applied research and evidence-based project design.

Interns will practice desk research, data synthesis, and contextual analysis to support programme development, learning how to translate research findings into actionable project inputs.

  1. Knowledge of environmental programming within humanitarian contexts.

Interns will gain exposure to how environmental sustainability and climate resilience are integrated into refugee and community support projects, particularly in regions such as Armenia.

  1. Cross-cultural collaboration and remote teamwork.

Interns will experience multi-country coordination by supporting project teams working across different languages and cultural settings, developing intercultural communication and collaboration skills.
