Description: 

The Estonian Refugee Council's digital solutions developer (Drupal-based) is responsible for the development and maintenance of various digital platforms in ERC. You can develop web-based platforms based on Drupal, you have high-level coding skills in PHP and JavaScript/jQuery, you understand the action logic of SQL and you are ready to build offline-first mobile solutions.

Main tasks: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • High-level coding skills in PHP and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • High-level understanding of SQL queries and databases.
  • Proven experience with building web-based applications on Drupal (built on PHP/Symfony), incl. ability to create custom modules.
  • Proven experience with or readiness for building mobile-based Progressive Web Apps (PWA), incl. Service Workers, IndexedDB, and other tools for offline-first functionalities.
  • Proven experience with integrating third party applications with web-based apps (such as SMS gateways, verification platforms, etc.).
  • Experiences with using SSH and Composer.
  • High-level web design skills (incl. CSS and other front-end styling methods).
  • Good understanding of documentation and revisioning standards.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Estonian Refugee Council.
  • Ability to create and maintain a productive and safe working environment in line with ERC Code of Conduct.
Expectations towards the candidate: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • High-level coding skills in PHP and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • High-level understanding of SQL queries and databases.
  • Proven experience with building web-based applications on Drupal (built on PHP/Symfony), incl. ability to create custom modules.
  • Proven experience with or readiness for building mobile-based Progressive Web Apps (PWA), incl. Service Workers, IndexedDB, and other tools for offline-first functionalities.
  • Strong architectural ability including familiarity with data, display, and information architecture.
  • Proven experience with integrating third party applications with web-based apps (such as SMS gateways, verification platforms, etc.).
  • Experiences with using SSH and Composer.
  • High-level web design skills (incl. CSS and other front-end styling methods).
  • Good understanding of documentation and revisioning standards.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and trends.
  • Strong process management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Estonian Refugee Council.
  • Ability to create and maintain a productive and safe working environment in line with ERC Code of Conduct.
