Description:
The Junior Programme Officer is responsible for managing ERC’s programmes carried out in Georgia. The post-holder works in collaboration with Head of Office to further develop ERC’s humanitarian assistance and livelihood programming, participates in the development of project proposals relevant to the programme, implements the livelihoods and humanitarian assistance programming activities, helps to develop monitoring and evaluation plans relevant to the programme activities, and develops new and maintains existing partnerships relevant to the programme.
Main tasks:
- Implement strategic directions for the livelihoods and humanitarian assistance programmes in cooperation with the country office team and ERC’s global management.
- Participate in the development of and in the regular updating of the SOPs and action plans of the programme in cooperation with the programme team and relevant technical specialists.
- Develop project proposals relevant to the programme, in accordance with ERC’s strategic objectives and programme modalities.
- Manage projects running under the programme, communicate with relevant donors, and ensure that narrative and financial reports are submitted on time.
- Develop productive relations with potential donors, other civil society organizations or business actors relevant to the programme, as well as international networks and organizations relevant to the field.
- Oversee and maintain a record of the implementation of programme activities under different projects.
- Participate in the development of and in maintaining suitable systems and tools to manage, collect, and safely store beneficiary information and other data related to the implementation of the programme activities.
- Participate in the development of suitable monitoring and evaluation methods and plans for the activities running under the programme in cooperation with the M&E team.
- Cooperate closely with and provide timely input to the communication team to ensure that activities taking place under the programme are clearly and effectively communicated internally and externally.
- Represent ERC at relevant working groups, meetings, conferences, and other public events in Georgia.
Expectations towards the candidate:
- Higher education degree in a relevant field (project management, business administration, international disaster management, etc) or 3 years of equivalent working experience.
- High-level language skills in English and Georgian; knowledge of languages of the countries where ERC is working (such as Ukrainian, Russian, Armenian) are an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills: must be able to work collaboratively, manage professional relationships, manage in multicultural settings, provide and receive feedback constructively, be solution-oriented, meet and communicate deadlines effectively.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and environments.
- Ability to follow ERC’s Code of Conduct and other internal policies.
