Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is coordinating and carrying out livelihoods and economic recovery programming activities in Ukraine. ERC uses different livelihoods and economic recovery programming modalities in order to assist affected populations with restoring or improving their independent and sustainable livelihoods, including but not limited to entrepreneurship programs and Cash for Livelihoods (CfL) programs.
The Livelihoods Assistant, based in Dnipro, Ukraine, is responsible for supporting and implementing ERC’s livelihoods and economic recovery programmes carried out in Ukraine. The post-holder works to further develop ERC’s livelihoods programming, participates in day-to-day operations on programme implementation, build and maintain relationships with relevant governmental, private and non-governmental stakeholders, carry out monitoring and evaluation activities relevant to the programme, develops new and maintains existing partnerships relevant to the programme, and participates in the development of ERC’s online application platform or other related tools.
- Support on carrying out livelihoods programme activities in accordance with project proposals and programme SOPs.
- Communicate with and assist programme beneficiaries throughout the programme implementation.
- Support in maintaining records of the implementation of programme activities under different projects.
- Assist in the development of and in maintaining suitable systems and tools to manage, collect, and safely store beneficiary information and other data related to the implementation of the programme activities.
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation process under the programme in cooperation with the Livelihoods team and the MEAL team.
- Provide support on the cooperation with the communication team to ensure that activities taking place under the programme are clearly and effectively communicated internally and externally.
- University degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Prior experience with an international non-governmental organization (INGO) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian is required; good English language skills are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Exchange.
- Strong ability to learn and work collaboratively, provide and receive constructive feedback, and maintain a solution-oriented approach. Must effectively meet deadlines and demonstrate a willingness to grow professionally.
