Description:
As the MEAL Manager in Estonia, you'll be at the heart of making sure ERC’s programs are top-notch and accountable, both locally and globally. You'll take the lead in developing our systems for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. This means you'll be shaping and rolling out M&E plans, guiding the MEAL team, and making sure we stay transparent and accountable to our donors through solid data analysis and reporting. In short, you’ll ensure our programs are backed by strong evidence that helps steer ERC’s decisions and future direction.
Main tasks:
- Lead the development and oversee the implementation of an organization-wide MEAL system, making sure we’re accountable to both donors and the people we serve.
- Encourage a culture that puts quality programming at the forefront by promoting MEAL across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and provide the support they need to understand and implement the MEAL system.
- Develop and introduce new tools, systems, and processes as needed for the MEAL system.
- Set clear expectations and offer leadership and technical support so that MEAL staff can perform their roles effectively.
- Ensure that data and findings from various programs and countries are compiled into a solid foundation for impact analysis, which supports learning and strategy development across the organization.
- Represent ERC at MEAL-related meetings with other NGOs and government agencies to promote best practices and shared learning.
Expectations towards the candidate:
- A degree in Sociology, Humanitarian or Development Studies, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent work experience.
- proven experience in quality management.
- experience leading and managing teams.
- Experience in the humanitarian or development sector is a plus.
- High-level proficiency in English and Estonian; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills—you should be able to collaborate well, manage professional relationships, work in multicultural settings, give and receive constructive feedback, be solution-oriented, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to create and maintain a productive and safe working environment in line with the ERC Code of Conduct.
