We are looking for Livelihoods Coordinator to join our international team!
Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is coordinating and carrying out livelihoods and economic recovery programming activities in Ukraine. ERC uses different livelihoods and economic recovery programming modalities in order to assist affected populations with restoring or improving their independent and sustainable livelihoods, such as carrying out entrepreneurship programmes, Cash for Livelihoods (CfL) and Cash for Animal Winterization (CfAW) programmes, or establishing social enterprises to create employment opportunities for displaced people.
The Livelihoods Coordinator, based in Dnipro, Ukraine, is responsible for implementation ERC’s livelihoods and economic recovery programmes carried out in Ukraine. The post-holder works to coordinate and further develop ERC’s livelihoods team, participates in the development of project proposals relevant to the programme, oversees the implementation of the livelihood activities in Ukraine, helps to develop monitoring and evaluation plans relevant to the programme activities, develops new and maintains existing partnerships relevant to the programme.
- Manage livelihoods officers in implementation of programmes activities, including development of detailed programmes work plans based on approved overall work plans and coordination of execution of work plans by livelihoods team.
- Oversee and maintain a record of the implementation of livelihoods activities under different projects.
- Contribute to developing and regularly updating the SOPs and action plans of the programme in cooperation with the line manager and programme team.
- Control the collection and safely storage of beneficiary data and other information related to implementation of the programme activities in the suitable systems and tools by the livelihoods programme team.
- Coordination of the preparation for the monitoring activities within the programme by the livelihoods team in cooperation with line manager and M&E team.
- Support livelihoods officers in providing timely input to the communication officers to ensure activities under the programme are clearly and effectively communicated internally and externally.
- Assist line manager and Livelihoods Technical Lead in the development of project proposals relevant to the livelihoods activities, following ERC’s strategic objectives and programme modalities.
- Participate in maintaining productive relations with potential donors, other civil society organizations or business actors relevant to the programme, as well as international networks and organizations relevant to the field.
- Represent ERC at livelihoods working groups, meetings, conferences, and other public events in cooperation with livelihoods technical lead.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (management, business administration, humanitarian or similar) or equivalent working experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in humanitarian project implementation, preferably in the field of emergency livelihoods or economic recovery.
- Minimum of 1 year of managerial experience.
- Proven capability to develop innovative ideas and make effective decisions during project implementation.
- High-level language skills in English and Ukrainian.
- Strong interpersonal skills: must be able to work collaboratively, manage professional relationships, manage in multicultural settings, provide and receive feedback constructively, be solution-oriented, meet and communicate deadlines effectively.
