Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is a value-driven non-governmental EU-certified humanitarian organization. ERC was established 22 years ago in Estonia and currently provides humanitarian assistance to displaced people and other vulnerable people in 5 crisis-affected countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Jordan and Turkey) and different support services to beneficiaries of international protection in Estonia. Estonian Refugee Council works and provide help in Ukraine since 2014 year and now covered 9 regions with ongoing humanitarian projects and monitoring visits. We are looking for MPCA Assistant to join our international team!
The MPCA Assistant is responsible for providing support to ERC Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) Programme registration process in the target area of intervention following ERC's procedures and standards. The holder of the position will report to the MPCA Area Team Leader.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments for MPCA programme beneficiaries in the target area.
- Ensure collected data is entered in the database correctly and accurately, and seek the Area team Leader’s support where needed.
- Provide newly registered households with a brief overview of the programme, their entitlements and expected distribution schedules.
- Report any challenges or issues promptly to the Area Team Leader as soon as they occur.
- Receive and collate comments and feedback from beneficiaries, to support identifying programmatic issues with a view to fostering efficient operations.
- Provide daily reports of work progress to the Area Team Leader.
- Support in field visits when needed for data collection and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
- Adhere to all ERC policies including Code of Conduct Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Area Team Leader as long as they are consistent with the programme goals and objectives.
- Relevant work experience - preferably in humanitarian context, social work, community development, NGOs or civil society
- Experience with data collection and entry is desirable.
- Demonstrates ability to facilitate, under guidance, MPCA programme registration modalities with an understanding of principles and criteria guiding selection.
- You have basic computer skills and are able to use softwares such as MS Excel and Word.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to gather information in an objective, appropriate and sensitive way by carefully observing, actively listening, and understanding the points being made.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality of sensitive information/data.
- Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian languages is required. English is an asset.
