The Estonian Refugee Council’s Digital Solutions Developer (Drupal-based) is responsible for development and maintenance of various digital platforms within the organization. This role involves supporting digital innovation, managing digital systems, and ensuring their optimal performance. The Digital Solutions Developer (Drupal-based) will document processes and outcomes, collaborate with different departments to tailor solutions to their needs, and ensure the highest standards of data protection and security are maintained.
Ülesanded:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom web-based platforms using Drupal 10+, ensuring high performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and data security.
- Develop and maintain offline functionality of these web-based platforms through Progressive Web Apps (PWA), ensuring functioning of applications in low connectivity or offline environments.
- Manage and maintain SQL-based databases for secure and efficient data management and retrieval.
- Integrate third-party applications (e.g., SMS gateways, verification platforms) with web-based platforms, ensuring smooth communication between systems.
- Ensure that all digital platforms are secure, compliant with data regulations, and conduct regular stress-testing and audits to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Follow best practices for code documentation, version control, and project management. Write clear, thorough documentation of system architecture and updates.
- Stay updated with technological trends and advise the team on solutions that improve operational efficiency and align with the digital strategy.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their digital needs, develop custom solutions, and foster an innovative, collaborative team culture.
Kandidaadilt eeldame:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- High-level coding skills in PHP and JavaScript/jQuery.
- High-level understanding of SQL queries and databases.
- Proven experience with building web-based applications on Drupal (built on PHP/Symfony), incl. ability to create custom modules.
- Proven experience with or readiness for building mobile-based Progressive Web Apps (PWA), incl. Service Workers, IndexedDB, and other tools for offline-first functionalities.
- Strong architectural ability including familiarity with data, display, and information architecture.
- Proven experience with integrating third party applications with web-based apps (such as SMS gateways, verification platforms, etc.).
- Experiences with using SSH and Composer.
- High-level web design skills (incl. CSS and other front-end styling methods).
- Good understanding of documentation and revisioning standards.
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and trends.
- Strong process management and analytical skills.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Estonian Refugee Council.
- Ability to create and maintain a productive and safe working environment in line with ERC Code of Conduct.
