Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is convening a group of experts who would be ready to join the organization in case of urgent needs and in times of crises. The expert roster is convened to be better prepared for situations of crisis and unexpected increase in work load.
People who already have necessary skills and knowledge in a particular field of interest to ERC are welcomed to join the expert roster. Such areas of expertise are, for example, data management and analysis, information management, crisis management, project management, human resource management, finance management, humanitarian assistance intervention design, communication management, etc. People selected to the group of experts are trained in topics relevant to humanitarian assistance and refugee support as well as in the internal structure and work arrangements of the ERC as an organization.
Experts who have been selected to the roster and trained may be called upon to work in Estonia or deployed to crisis countries where ERC works, in case of particular needs and preparedness of the expert.
People selected and trained are entered into the ERC's expert database and will be contacted in case of need. In case of such need and upon readiness of the expert, a contract is signed with the expert to carry out particular tasks within a particular timeframe. After being added to the expert roster and after completing the training, the expert is not obliged to accept any position or assignment when called upon. All expenses related to training, work assignments and deployments are covered to the expert by the ERC.
