Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Officer to join our team at ERC. The Finance Officer, based in Tbilisi, Georgia, will play a crucial role in managing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards. We are looking for somebody interested in digitalization, with a good understanding of anti-corruption and anti-bribery principles, and ready to work in an international multicultural team.

Main tasks:
Finance Management Tasks (40%):
- Ensure the functionality of the accounting and financial management system.
- Compile financial reports in compliance with reporting deadlines and donor requirements.
- Provide input on financial and budgetary needs during grant proposal processes.
- Track and update financial projections for projects, programs, and general budgets.
- Manage staff effort allocations across projects.
- Support HR Officer in employment questions related to State Tax Service regulations.
Accounting Tasks (60%):
- Process purchase and sales documents in a timely manner.
- Handle payment requests as per internal and legal requirements.
- Conduct salary calculations and prepare payments.
- Manage fixed assets accounting.
- File and submit tax declarations; prepare payments.
- Compile financial reports based on accounting data and budgets.
- Check and correct accounting data based on project reports.
- Oversee projects' and annual auditing processes.
- Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Address staff members' questions on salary, compensations, and other accounting issues.
- Update internal documentation and communicate changes in accounting rules.
Expectations towards the candidate:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Excellent understanding of Georgian taxation laws.
- Previous experience in a non-profit agency/grant-funded environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Georgian.
- Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in MS Excel and finance-related software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
